Having issues returning holiday gifts?  Here are some quick, easy tips to keep from getting frustrated.  First and foremost, it is important to know that most businesses’ want to keep your business.  Most issues can be resolved by talking to an employee, or communicating with the business online.  There is usually a toll free number or email address for customer service issues on the product packaging, a receipt, or warranty.  Look on the company’s website for the Contact Us link.  Next, if these solutions don’t work, we recommend you write a letter to the company that is both effective and detailed.  Give as much information as possible and state what needs to be done and how long you are willing to wait for it.  The next step is to contact your Bank to initiate a dispute.  You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).  If you are unsure of who to contact, call 1800-FED-INFO for help.  We hope the post holidays are as pleasant for you as the holiday season was.
