Because cell phones have become a third arm to most, Points West Community Bank made the customer banking experience easy and convenient through our Mobile Banking App downloadable for both Android and iOS devices.
After registration at any bank or online, Points West Bank offers great features through mobile banking. One of our most used and popular features is Mobile Deposit, an easy way to deposit checks into your checking, savings or money market account using your mobile device.
It’s new, but easy! Here are a few of our most needed answers to get you started.
Who can use Mobile Deposit?
Customers with a checking, saving or money marketing account, banking relationship with Points West Community Bank for at least six months and valid online banking credentials are eligible for Mobile Deposit.
What devices can be used?
Mobile Deposit is available for iPhone and Android devices.
Is there a cost to deposit my check with PWCB mobile deposit?
No! Mobile Deposit service is free to all Points West Community Bank customers.
Can I deposit any type of check with Mobile Deposit?
PWCB Mobile Deposit accepts most check types, including money orders, payroll, personal and government checks. However, the following check types cannot be processed using Mobile Deposit:
- Two-Party Checks
- Foreign Checks
- Temporary checks (any item without a check number)
- Checks payable to any person or entity other than you
- You’ll need to deposit these checks at a PWCB branch.
Will I receive immediate credit when I deposit a check by Mobile Deposit?
No. Funds are not memo-posted to your account, as they are with a branch deposit. In most cases your funds will be made available the first business day after the day of deposit.
Is there a limit on the number of checks I can deposit?
There is no limit to the number checks you can deposit, but only one check can be deposited per transaction. There is a dollar amount threshold for daily deposits, however: $5,000 may be deposited each day, and we can only accept checks of $3,000 or less.
Some helpful hints to making Mobile Deposit more efficient are:
Ensure your deposit posts promptly and credits to your account as quickly as possible by making sure:
- The check amount entered into the app matches the amount written on the check
- The back of the check is endorsed and dated
- The entire check is visible and in focus before submitting it to the bank.
