Points West Community Bank presented Haxtun United Methodist Church and University of Northern Colorado Cancer Rehabilitation Institute with a $1,000 donation.
“Not only did we want to give back to our community, but also the organizations near and dear to PWCB customers,” said Mark Brase, Front Range President of Points West Community Bank. “By allowing our customers to select the organizations we donated to, we were able to involve customers inside and outside the bank.”
During the 2018 holiday season, Points West Community Bank customers nominated local organizations to receive a $1,000 donation. Along with the organization’s basic information, each nominator explained why PWCB should donate to the nominated organization.
The Haxtun United Methodist Church nominator wrote, “the Haxtun United Methodist Church does so many things for so many people. Whether it be the Thanksgiving meal at the community center, Retread Threads, or the community food basket, the Church is there to support our community. Pastor Jeri has been an extraordinary part of the Church, and with her leadership, it has become a shining light in so many people’s lives.” Learn more about The Haxtun United Methodist Church.
“This local organization (University of Northern Colorado Cancer Rehabilitation Institute) provides much-needed rehab services to cancer patients. I have benefited from their help and believe they do amazing research to show the benefits of physical activity for cancer patients who could be in any stage of treatment,” said the University of Northern Colorado Cancer Rehabilitation Institue’s nominator.
